Thomas Catherall (20) married Ellen Johns on 31st August 1908 at St Thomas Church, Brampton. Sons Thomas Edward was christened 17th December 1908 and George on the 30th December 1909. These two children died under 1 year old. Georgina was christened on 9th February 1911. Three other birth registrations have been found for Cotheralls with mother’s maiden name Johns. John Catherall (1st quarter of 1912), Frederick Catherall (2nd quarter of 1913) and Mary E. Catherall (2nd quarter of 1915) Ellen would have been at least 3 months pregnant when her husband died.
