Combining search methods

The Search Box and the filters can be used together to produce more selective results.  For example:

Enter the letters kin in the Search Box and select H from the Surname filter.  When you click the submit button all of the burial records for people whose surname begins with H and whose surname also contains the letters kin will be listed (e.g Hopkinson, Hicking etc)

Enter White in the Search Box and select A in the forename filter.  When you click the submit button all of the records where the surname is White (or contains the letters white) and the forename begins with A will be listed (e.g. Arthur White, Ann Whitehouse etc)

Leave the Search Box blank, select in the surname filter and select Barker Lane in the Street filter.  When you click the submit button all of the records where the surname begins with B and the person is recorded as having been living on Barker Lane will be listed (e.g. Harry Bates of 28 Barker Lane, Arthur Burton of 105 Barker Lane)
